Naomi DeBree, 82, of Kenosha, passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2014, at Waters Edge Nursing Home. Born in Randolph, VT, on July 14, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Dr. Francis B. and Nellie (Armstrong) Jennings. She resided in Wauconda, IL, Pembine, WI, and Waukegan, IL, before moving to Kenosha in 1996. On May 10, 1952, she married Mitchell F. DeBree in Randolph, VT. He preceded her in death on April 12, 1993. Naomi was self-employed for 35 years as an antiques dealer, owning and operating shops in Pembine and Wauconda. She was a member of St. Mary’s Lutheran Church and the St. Mary’s Friendly Center. Survivors include her two sons, Peter J. (Donna) DeBree of Salem and Mark A. DeBree of Kenosha; six grandchildren, Zack DeBree, Adam DeBree, Ashley DeBree, David DeBree, Matthew Paskiewicz and Justin Paskiewicz; two great-grandchildren, Brandon DeBree and Brody DeBree; four nephews, Nicholas Hollis, Benjamin Hollis, Frank Badger and Donald Badger; and a niece, Mary Eaton. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Geraldine Badger and Marion Hollis. The family would like to thank the staff at Casa Del Maré Assisted Living, Memory Care Community and Seasons Hospice for all of the kind and compassionate care they gave Naomi. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 20th, at St. Mary’s Lutheran Church at11:00 a.m. Interment will be private at Lake Forest Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19th, at the Proko Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and will continue at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
