Marcella Conforti

2014

Marcella L. Conforti, 88, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 8, 2014, at Seasons Hospice Home in Waukesha, WI. Her children were by her side during her last days. She was born in Kenosha on May 16, 1926, the youngest child of Gustave and Hannah (Steinke) Kohnke. She attended schools in Kenosha County and graduated from Union Grove High School. She worked at Silver Lake Bank for several years. On September 2, 1950, she married William Conforti in Wilmot, WI. After her children were grown, she returned to work as a bookkeeper at Kenosha National Bank and Triangle Furniture and Appliance. Marcella is a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening, reading, bowling and travel. She was an avid Cubs fan. Her special love was for animals of all kinds and they loved her. She adored her dogs, Prince and Domino. Her children remember her most as a loving mother with boundless energy who put their needs first and still managed to keep an immaculately clean home. She was always there for homework assistance or just to listen. She was a devoted grandmother to Joshua and Tracy Sunday, Paul Conforti, Hartley Conforti and Alexandra Conforti. Nothing made her happier than when her family was together on holidays. Left to comfort one another are her six children: Doreen (David) Chemerow of Portland, OR; Ronald Conforti of Midvale, UT; Terry Ann (James) Bestor of Waukesha, WI; Randall (Carolyn) Conforti of Louisville, KY; William Conforti, Jr. of Kenosha; and David (Jennifer) Conforti of Colorado Springs, CO. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, on July 26, 2013, and two brothers and two sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 14th, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church preceded by a public visitation from 10:30 a.m. until the time of Mass. A private interment will be held at St. George Cemetery. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, gifts be designated to Safe Harbor Humane Society, 7811-60th Avenue, Kenosha, WI 53142. We love you, Mom. We will see you again one day. Rest in peace, dear Mother, our beautiful angel. We know you will be watching over us.Proko Funeral Home & Crematory5111-60th StreetKenosha, WI 53144Phone: (262) 654-3533Visit Marcella’s Online Memorial Book at:www.prokofuneralhome.com
