Evelyn Borges, 50, of Kenosha, passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2014, at United Hospital System-Kenosha Campus. Born in Chicago, IL, on March 13, 1964, she was the daughter of Nicolas and Marina (Flores) Colon, Sr. She was raised in Chicago and Puerto Rico before moving to Kenosha in 1994 to make her home. On June 13, 1987, she married Gerardo “Jerry” Borges in Chicago. Evelyn was employed with Quadra, Inc. in Sturtevant, WI. She enjoyed baking, reading and spoiling her children. Survivors include her husband, Jerry of Kenosha; two children, Jesse Borges and Jeralynn Borges, both of Kenosha; her parents, Nicolas and Marina Colon, Sr. of Puerto Rico; two brothers, Nicolas Colon, Jr. and Noel and his wife, Luz Janet, Colon, both of Puerto Rico; and two sisters, Alisha and her husband, Justino, Diaz of Kenosha and Gladys Colon of Puerto Rico. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 23rd, at the Proko Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Green Ridge Cemetery.
