LaVerne A. Willoughby, 84, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 11, 2014, at St. Joseph Home for the Aged. Born on March 10, 1930, in Chicago, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Bertha (Orlowski) Grabowicz. She was raised in Merrill, WI, and graduated from the local schools. On May 17, 1952, she married Arthur Willoughby in Kenosha. LaVerne was employed by American Motors and Simmons. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. LaVerne is survived by her loving husband, Arthur of Pleasant Prairie; two children, Cheryl Willoughby and James (Deborah) Willoughby, both of Kenosha; two grandchildren, Jason (Shawna) Willoughby and Jennifer (DeLorean) Graham; and two great-grandchildren, Claire and Eli. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Stanley, Jr. A memorial service will be held Friday, May 23rd, at Proko Funeral Home at 6:00 p.m. Interment at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park will be private.
