David P. Gahart, 66, of Kenosha, WI passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Sunday, May 4, 2014. Dave was born March 29, 1948, in Kenosha, WI the son of Lloyd (Dutch) and Wilma (Beerkircher) Gahart. On April 3, 1971, he married Karen (Seiberlich) at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Kenosha. They recently celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary. He was educated in Kenosha schools, graduating from Mary D. Bradford High School. Prior to his retirement in 2010, Dave was a Production Supervisor and Planner at Vista International. He was an avid deer hunter and enjoyed spending time on his land up north. He was also a Pontiac GTO enthusiast, a Packer fan and an auto racing fan. His number one enjoyment was spending time with his granddaughters and his 2 four-legged grandsons, Jackson and Carmel. Survivors include his wife, Karen, his three children Brian (Kim), Jill (Eric) Traxler and James; Three granddaughters, Emma and Megan Gahart, and Kayla Traxler. Also survived by brother Lloyd (Arlene) Gahart, sister Carol Novak, mother-in-law Dorothy Seiberlich, and many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, and sister Joyce Shaffer. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 10th at 12:00 Noon at Proko Funeral Home. Interment will be private. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until 11:45 A.M. at Proko Funeral Home.
