Morris A. DeYoung, 89, of Kenosha, passed away on Monday, May 5, 2014. Born in Delevan, WI, on July 27, 1924, he was the son of the late Andrew and Viola (Willmore) DeYoung. He received a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Beloit College. On July 7, 1989, he married Mesrure Gülsün in Ankara, Turkey. Morris worked in sales and the import/export industry. He loved his work, gardening, and traveling all over the world. Most importantly, he enjoyed being with his family. Survivors include his wife, Mesrure of Kenosha; seven children from his previous marriage, Amanda (Bill) Spriegel of Gurnee, IL, M. David (Lisa) DeYoung of Cranberry Twp., PA, Mary (Andy) Winter of Munich, Germany, Martha (Jim) Dooley of Round Lake, IL, Rebekah (Brian) Welsh of Lake Bluff, IL, Margaret (Jim) King of Las Vegas, NV, and Sarah (Mike) Metzger of Lake Forest, IL; a sister, Arlene (Bill) Riddling of San Antonio, TX; eleven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Elizabeth Spriegel. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 8th, at Proko Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be private. Visitation will be held on Thursday at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
