Angeline E. Chiappetta, 98, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 1, 2014, at United Hospital System-Kenosha Campus, surrounded by her loving family. Born May 22, 1915, in Kenosha, she was the daughter of the late Pietro and Rosina (Bilotti) Bonofiglio. On June 18, 1938, she married Ferdinand Chiappetta at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. They were married 53 years until his death on November 5, 1991. Angie was a lifetime active member of Holy Rosary Church, where she was a daily communicant for many years. She is survived by her six children: Gail (James) Whelpley of Chester, NJ; Dennis (Sandra) Chiappetta of Manalapan, NJ; Jeffrey (Elaine) Chiappetta of Shelby Township, MI; Carole (Ray) Forgianni of Kenosha; Ferdinand "Ferd" (Susan) Chiappetta of Mt. Pleasant; and Rita (Arthur Maurer) Chiappetta of Kenosha. She was, throughout her life, an active support and inspiration to her 21 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren and many beloved nieces and nephews. An accomplished cook, she produced countless memorable meals for family gatherings; a tradition carried on by her children and grandchildren. Over the years, she took into her home and cared for numerous members of her extended family during their periods of need. Beyond her dedication to Church and family, Angie created many types of handiwork that will be enjoyed by generations. She retained an avid interest in searching through thrift shops and house sales for collectable knick-knacks. Angeline was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters, Anna Bonofiglio and Mary (Peter) Martin, and an infant daughter. The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Trimark, Dr. Silenzi, her nurses at UHS, caregiver Miriam, and all others who helped with their loving attention and care. Angie epitomized the following quote: “What do we live for if not to make life less difficult for each other”. Her goal was to do at least one good thing for someone each day. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 9th, at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at St. George Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday at Proko Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church or the Franciscan Sisters of St. Joseph, Holy Rosary Convent, 4416-22nd Avenue, Kenosha, WI 53140.Proko Funeral Home & Crematory5111-60th StreetKenosha, WI 53144Phone: (262) 654-3533Visit Angeline's Online Memorial Book at:www.prokofuneralhome.com
