Gilbert Andrade, 67, of Pleasant Prairie, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at his residence, after a long illness with his family by his side. Born on September 15, 1946, in Jorna, AR, he was the son of Antonio and Carlotta (Pena) Andrade. Gilbert served in the United States Army. He had been employed by Bjork Dairy for many years. Surviving are his three children, Michelle (Joe) Bridges of North Chicago, IL, Jody (Danny) Blosmore of Zion, IL, and Gilbert (Tina) Andrade of West Virginia; former wife, Lynn Andrade, who stayed by his side during his illnesses; his mother, Carlotta Andrade of Florida; three sisters; five brothers; five grandchildren, Matthew, Bryan, Ashley, Tiffany and Zach; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Antonio; a daughter, Jorie Andrade; and two sisters, Librada Cruz and Connie Andrade. I new Gilbert through his Brother Tony. I always thought he was a great guy. I just moved back into town. Sorry I missed him. My condolence to you Tony and your family.

I knew Gil when he worked for Bjork's Dairy. Not personally, but he was always friendly and what I consider to be a very upstanding and likable guy, I wish I had known him better.
