Divina Joyce Tirabassi-Herzog

Divina Joyce Tirabassi-Herzog, 86, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 27, 2014, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Kenosha on October 21, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Domenick and Amelia (Russo) Tirabassi. She was a graduate of St. Catherine High School. On August 31, 1946, she married Elmer Herzog. He preceded her in death on February 6, 1970. She was employed as a waitress and hostess at Ray Radigan’s, Bartley House and Higgins HobNob. Divina was a wonderful cook. She enjoyed making ceramics, sewing and gambling with family and friends. She loved her home. Shopping was always her favorite. Buying for her family and friends made her happy. She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Italian American Club. She is survived by her three children, Robert (LuAnn) Herzog, James Herzog and Michael (Chas) Herzog; two brothers, Domenick (Gina) Tirabassi, Jr. and James A. (Mary) Tirabassi; special niece, Therese Skau; three grandchildren, Bobby Jr., Jennifer and Theresa; six great-grandchildren, Desmond, Anthony, Shawna, Cody, Bobby III and Joey; one great-great granddaughter, Jayden; and several nieces and nephews. Divina was preceded in death by her daughter, Diane Burford; and her sister, Adeline (Ray) Grudzinski. Services will be held on Friday, May 2nd, from Proko Funeral Home at 9:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. James Cemetery.
