Emilia Covelli, 89, of Pleasant Prairie, passed away Sunday, April 27, 2014, at Grande Prairie Nursing Home surrounded by her family. Born on August 16, 1924 in Marano Principato, Provence of Cosenza, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Leopoldo and Luisa (Pellegrino) Caira. On December 28, 1947, she married Fiorino Covelli in Italy. They moved to Kenosha on October 1, 1952. He preceded her in death on May 4, 1998. Emilia was employed by St. Catherine’s Hospital in their Housekeeping Department for over 21 years. Emilia is survived by her three sons, Frank (Karen) Covelli of Madison, Paul (Marsha) Covelli of Pleasant Prairie and Mario (JoAnn) Covelli of Kenosha; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Louie, Amideo, Albert and Edward.
