Eugene Giannantonio

Eugene Giannantonio, 93, of Kenosha, passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2014, at St. Joseph’s Home. He was born in Kenosha on October 26, 1920, the son of the late Ernest and Lisetta (Frosolono) Giannantonio. He was educated in Kenosha and graduated from Kenosha High in 1940. Eugene served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII being stationed in North Africa. He was employed by Chrysler Corporation for 25 years. He was a lifelong member of VFW Post 1865, Italian American Club and Chicago Cubs fan. Surviving Eugene is his brother-in-law, George Zaionc; two nieces, Debra Zaionc and Patsy Lencioni; and two nephews, William (Sheryl) Zaionc and Joe Lencioni. He is further survived by many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Antonio, Henry, and Frederick Giannantonio; and four sisters, Theresa Freeman, Rose Lencioni, Elvira Giannantonio and Josephine Zaionc. Visitation will be held for Eugene on Friday, March 14th, at the Proko Funeral Home from 12:00 noon until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. followed by military honors.
