Eugene M. Manna, 85, of Kenosha, passed away surrounded by his loving family at Casa Del Mare in Kenosha, on Monday, February 10, 2014. Born in Kenosha on November 28, 1928, he was the son of the late Louis and Theresa (Vite) Manna. He was a lifelong resident of Kenosha and attended local schools. On August 3, 1948, he entered the United State Air Force. He was stationed at George Air Force Base in California and was honorably discharged on July 1, 1952. On July 17, 1954, he married Mary M. Cerminara in Kenosha. She preceded him in death on February 10, 2008. For over 21 years he worked at Chrysler/American Motors Corp. Eugene also was a barber. He was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. In his early years he was a Golden Gloves Boxer. He enjoyed playing cards with his sisters and especially spending time with his family. Surviving are his four children, Eugene L. (Jacqueline) Manna of Racine, Christy R. (Ron) Davey of Jeffersonville, IN, Tina M. (Raymond) Torcaso of Kenosha and Ricky A. (Susan) Manna of Kenosha; eight grandchildren; three sisters, Mary Braund, Rose Bordo, Gloria Christiansen; and a sister-in-law, Dorothy Manna. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Albert, Arthur and Frank “Effy” Manna; and a sister, Elizabeth "Lilly" Werthy. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Casa Del Mare for the wonderful care given to their father. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 14th, at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 2224-45th Street, Kenosha, WI, at 10:30 a.m. Entombment will follow at All Saints Mausoleum.
