John L Pollock
John L. Pollock, 90, of Kenosha, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 30, 2013. Born in Superior, WI, on June 27, 1923, he was the son of the late John P. and Mary (Gella) Pollock. He was educated in the schools of Superior. John served in the United States Army/Air Corp from January 6, 1943 until his honorable discharge on February 20, 1946. John worked as a master plumber with Local 93 out of Waukegan, IL. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, reading, writing in his journal, and was always ready to lend a helping hand to family and friends. He is survived by his three children, Jeanne (Kenneth) Skendziel of Fairfield Glade, TN, Joseph Pollock of Minneapolis, MN, and James (Mary) Pollock of Kenosha; ten grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Donald Cronin of California; and many nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by a son, Michael Pollock, and a sister, Lillian Harnstrom. John’s family would like to thank the staff of Sterling House and Hospice Alliance for all of the kind and compassionate care they gave him.
