Angela M. Viola, 91, of Kenosha, passed away at Hospice Alliance on December 1, 2013. Born in Kenosha, Wisconsin on May 24, 1922, she was the daughter of John and Antonia (Bracci) Rossi. She was educated in Kenosha Schools and graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School. A homemaker for most of her life, Angie worked in her pre-marriage years at Simmons Mattress Company and later in life at St. Catherine’s Hospital as a day care assistant. On April 25, 1942, she was joined in marriage to Dante A. Viola. They were married for 61 years before his passing. Angie lived a devoted and compassionate life as a wife and mother. Her proudest accomplishment was her six children. Angie was a wonderful grandmother, aunt, sister, sister-in-law, and friend to many young and old. She was devoted in her faith, selfless in her life, and focused on prayers for her family and others. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church and St. Anthony’s Ladies Sodality. She is survived by her six children: Gayle (James) Swanson, Darrell (Kathy) Viola, Randy (Kathy) Viola, Linda (Keith Johnson) Buchholz, Barbara (Thomas) Josephs, and Dan (Terri) Viola – her sister Margaret Schlater, her brother Frank (Beverly) Rossi, and her sister-in-law Mary Cardinali (nee Viola) - in addition to twelve grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and many loving nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her best friend and cousin, Betty Pulera. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother, Victor Rossi, and her grandson, James Swanson Jr. The family would like to extend their appreciation and thanks to Hospice Alliance and Meadowmere for the wonderful and compassionate care of Angela. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 6th, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are asked to meet at the church for the Mass. Entombment will follow at All Saints Mausoleum. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 5th, at Proko Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate that donations be made in Angie’s memory to Hospice Alliance or St. Joseph Catholic Academy.Proko Funeral Home & Crematory5111-60th StreetKenosha, WI 53144Phone: (262) 654-3533Visit Angela’s Online Memorial Book at:www.prokofuneralhome.com

I'm sorry for the loss of your mother. She raised a large family with a lot of love. She received wonderful loving care from her children, in which I'm sure she was grateful.
