Ronald A. Lueck, 77, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, November 9th, 2013 at Saint Catherine’s Medical Center Campus in Kenosha, WI. Ronald was born on the family farm in Saint Mary’s Ridge, WI, on March 31, 1936, the son of the late August and Catherine (Wacher) Lueck, Sr. When he was young, his family purchased a farm in Tomah, WI, where he was raised and graduated from Tomah High School in 1954. He attended a Farmers Short Course at the University of Wisconsin Madison. Duty called and Ronald joined and proudly served his country in the United States Army for two years from 1957 until 1959. He then came to Kenosha, WI in 1959 and was hired and worked for American Motors. He attended and graduated from Roosevelt University in Chicago, IL with an Associate Degree in Finance, and Kenosha Technical Institute in Kenosha, WI, where he met a good friend, Louis LaPorta. Louis introduced him to his sister and the love of Ronald’s life, Frances LaPorta. They married on November 24, 1966 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Ronald was a proud husband and father who always put his family first. He loved attending his children’s and grandchildren’s sporting and school events as well as watching just about every Milwaukee Brewers games on TV. He loved watching the Packers and discussing the game the next day with his kids. Another hobby that he enjoyed before he became ill was gardening, producing way too much, and sharing his harvest with family and friends. He retired from Ladish Tri Clover in 2001 after twenty-nine years of service. Surviving are his wife and best friend of 47 years, Frances; three sons, Christopher (Carrie) of Kenosha, Andrew (Gina) of Buckeye, AZ, Chad (Brittany) of Lincolnshire, IL; nine Grandchildren, Ashley Chiappetta, Alicia Chiappetta, Catherine Lueck, Alexandra Lueck, Carilyn Lueck, Elliott Lueck, Lydia Lueck, Grayson Lueck, and Carmela Lueck; two brothers, Duane (Adella) and August Jr. (Barb), both of Tomah, WI; and a sister, Charlene (Donald) Sullivan of Sparta, WI. He was preceded in death by a brother, Lewis Lueck. Ronald’s family would like to give their heartfelt appreciation to the Saint Catherine’s Dialysis Center for their excellent care and dedicated service over the last six years. The family would also like to thank the ICU Staff for their care and compassion. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 13th, at St. Mark’s Catholic Church at 11:30 a.m. Entombment will follow at All Saints Mausoleum.
