Ralph A. Castona, 90, of Kenosha, passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2013, at Brookside Care Center. He was born in Kenosha on October 8, 1922, the son of the late Ambrose and Agnes (Gerlock) Castona. He was a graduate of Bradford High School and following served in the U.S. Marines Corps as a staff Sargent during WWII. On January 12, 1946, he married the late Irene DuBois in Philadelphia. Ralph and Irene moved back to Kenosha and he was employed at American Motors for 8 years, and later became a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service where he retired in 1988 after 25 years of service. He attended Immanuel Baptist Church in Kenosha and some of his many hobbies include building clocks, houses, garages, and hunting. Surviving Ralph are his two sons, Craig of Richland Center, WI, and Ross (Lynn) of Bristol, WI; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Irene; a grandson, Aaron; and two sisters, Violet Collins and Louise Legler. A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 27th, at the Proko Funeral home at 11:00 a.m. with interment and military honors to follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
