Angelo DeBartolo, 69, of Kenosha, passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at United Hospital System with his family by his side.Born December 19, 1943 in Marano, Marchesato, Prov. of Cosensa, Italy. The son of the late Bruno and Antonietta (Serpe) DeBartolo. He came to Kenosha in 1958 to make his home.On April 27, 1974 he married Olga Fioravante at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church.Angelo was employed as a machine operator for the American Brass Co. for 35 years. A member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church; The Italian American Club, Roma Lodge, Alpine Club, Calabresi d’ America of Chicago, Societa di San Francesco di Paola of Chicago and the Italian Catholic Federation Branch #392 of Chicago, Padre Pio Societa. He was a very active enjoyed all the dinners, dances and festivities. Angelo’s passion was his garden, in his youth he helped his father in their small family garden. After retiring in 2003, he devoted his days to his gardening. He now has his new helpers, his two grandsons Enzo and Angelo who love to work in the garden the way Angelo did with his father. His was generous to a fault with his vast amount of vegetables and bountiful fruit trees were shared with all his family and friends. Angelo loved to plant and loved to harvest his beautiful garden. Angelo was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and a wonderful brother, uncle and friend to so many. He loved giving of himself. *A special thank you to all the Kenosha Police and Fire Dept. members and all the staff at United Hospital Systems Kenosha Campus, Emergency Room, Critical Care Unit and Pastoral Care also Fr. Sean Granger for all his thoughtfulness, prayers and support given to Angelo and his family.** Surviving are his wife Olga of Kenosha; two children; Giulio A. (Autumn) DeBartolo of Kenosha; Fabio A. (Nina) DeBartolo of Milwaukee; his two brothers; Giuseppe (Rita) DeBartolo and Frank (Rosaria) DeBartolo; five sisters; Maria (Jack) Spizzirri, Ada (Antonio) Vignieri, Ida (John) Alia, Anna DeBartolo and Gemma Wells; his two grandchildren; Enzo A. and Angelo G. DeBartolo; brother-in-law; Francesco (Marinella) Fioravante; Maria (Franco) Tunuta both of Italy and Carmellina Ruffolo of Kenosha; he is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many, many friends.He was preceded in death by his brother, Salvatore (Emilia) DeBartolo; his mother and father-in-law, Enrico and Giuseppina Fioravante.Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 26th at 10:30 A.M. from Proko Funeral Home. Mass to be Celebrated at 11:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church. Entombment to follow at All Saints Mausoleum.
