Clarice A. Brown

1934 ∼ 2013

Clarice A. Brown
Clarice Brown, 79, of Kenosha, was reunited with the love of her life on Wednesday, August 7, 2013, with her loving family at her side. Born in Oconto, WI, on March 30, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Letha (Burdick) Longsine. She attended the schools of Oconto before coming to Kenosha in 1952 to make her home. On October 11, 1949, she married Donald Brown. He preceded her in death on October 24, 1992. Clarice shared her love of cooking by preparing meals at St. Catherine’s Convent for 4 years, St. Joseph’s Home for the Aged for 17 years and later at Siennadale for 13 years. After her children were grown, she continued to care for others as a caregiver with Society’s Assets. Clarice was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church. She loved her family dearly and never missed a school function or sporting event of any of her grandchildren, leaving her family to forever cherish many, many beautiful memories. She was an avid Packer fan and enjoyed numerous games sitting in the stands as well as when surrounded by her family sitting in front of the television at home. Clarice enjoyed doing puzzle books, word searches and gardening which brought her great joy when spending time in her yard. Surviving are her four daughters, Gloria “Jean” (William) Angelo of Paddock Lake, Jane Cantrell of Kenosha, Julie (Eugene) Lupi of Kenosha and Judy (Daniel) Ralph of Pleasant Prairie; a brother, Vernon (Shelly) Longsine of Oconto, WI; eleven grandchildren, Billie, Lisa, Gina (Jason), Richard, Donald, Daniel (Angela), Jeffrey, Alyssa, Jenna, Andrea and Tyler; three great-grandchildren, Amanda, Brianna and Chase; and a fourth great grandchild due in September, Vincent. She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Richard Cantrell; three brothers, Charles Jr., John and Gerald Longsine; and two sisters, Audrey Fonder and Edith Brown. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 12th, at Proko Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be private. Visitation will be held on Monday at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.Proko Funeral Home & Crematory5111-60th StreetKenosha, WI 53144Phone: (262) 654-3533Visit Clarice's Online Memorial Book at:www.prokofuneralhome.com

My deepest sympathies to all of Grandma Brown's family. I was shocked to hear that Clarice passed away. I know you all have so many beautiful memories to share and keep within your own hearts, She was a great lady. It was great being able to sit in the stands with her and the family all those years.
