Frank James Staral

Frank J. Staral, Jr., 89, of Kenosha, passed away on Monday, August 5, 2013, at Hospice House in Pleasant Prairie. Born on February 22, 1924, in Tishmills, WI, he was the son of the late Frank and Mary (Nemitz) Staral. He was educated in the schools of Tishmills and in 1972 he came to Kenosha from Illinois to make his home. On November 18, 1972, he married Anita Witcheber at Somers Community United Church of Christ. She preceded him in death on October 18, 2011. He served in the United States Army during World War II from 1943 until his honorable discharge in 1945. He had been employed as a polisher for Johnson Outboard Motors in Illinois for over 25 years. He was a member of Somers Community United Church of Christ. Frank is survived by his two sons, Raymond (Mary) Staral of Iola, WI, and Dennis (Diana) Staral of Round Lake, IL; a sister, Elsie Plansky; a daughter, Lynn (Steve) Ingham of Kenosha; his grandchildren, Stacy (Rick) Peterson, Raymond Staral, Robin (Dave) Cartwright, Dennis (Terese) Staral, Todd (Allison) Staral, Terra (Robert) Newhouse, Melissa (Nick) Angel, Jennifer Staral and David Staral, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Whitney and Mallory Tomczak, Tara, Cory and Casey Staral, Travis Staral, Kaylee and Colby Staral and Jacob Newhouse; and great-great grandchildren, Cyles and Kylen Staral, Kylee and Kennedy Staral. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the entire staff of Hospice Alliance for all the special care given to their father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Anita; son, David Staral; granddaughter, Melinda Staral; great-grandson Tyler Staral; his brothers, Clarence and Jim Staral; and step-sister, Evelyn Walecka. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 10th, at Somers Community United Church of Christ, 9918-12th Street, at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Saturday at Somers Community Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
