Marvin Fennema, 93, beloved father, teacher and World War II veteran went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 22, 2013. He was born and raised in Salem, WI, and graduated from Antioch High School and University of Wisconsin. He served on Guam in the Army Air Corps as a finance clerk for the B-29's unit in 1943-1944. A resident of Anaheim since 1952, Marvin spent 36 years as choir teacher, most at Magnolia High School, and authored the words to the Magnolia Alma Mater. He was also Choir Director at Calvary Chapel of Anaheim. He was involved with the YMCA, South Anaheim Little League, and mission work in Haiti, Israel and Mexico. Marvin is survived by three sons, John, Eric and Byron, nine grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by brothers, Harold, Raymond and Andrew; and sister, Doris.
