Larry was a wonderful human being who treated all I ever saw with great respect. I first met him when I was a new prosecutor in Kenosha. He was an excellent detective, always served his community with deliberate and professional strength and was a person you could rely upon. Even when Larry didn't agree with you he always maintained equanimity and respect for your opinions. Even when I joined the "dark side" as he would tease he treated me with respect and was highly ethical. I will miss him greatly and cherish my memories of him. K. Richard Wells

All the way back to when I first met him in the fourth grade, Larry was bigger than life, funny, talented and always generous. I left Kenosha many years ago, but have long kept up with things there through family and the Kenosha news. Everything I ever read about Larry made me proud to know him. I'm so glad I got to see and talk with him at the reunion. Condolences to the family, words can't describe this loss.

So sad to learn of Larry's passing. Larry and I shared our childhood together at Roosevelt, Lance and Tremper and enjoyed many childhood adventures over the years. I remember running home to watch Larry and the Cordelles on WGN Channel 9, like it was the Beatles debut. Larry was loaded with talent, grace and kindness. I am glad I can call him, my friend. Lastly, I am delighted he had a chance to sing for 175 of friends at our 40th class reunion, we all enjoyed his entertaining talents and I know he was proud of his talents. Rest in Peace, Larry. Gone but not forgotten!!! Your friend, Mark Sockness

Larry was an all around great guy, there's no other way to say it! He was a wonderful neighbor, helping us with snow removal, and flat telling my husband to take better care of himself. He didn't shy away from things, if it needed to be said, he would say it. He was friendly, always with that huge smile of his, that twinkle in his eye, and a wave or a shout. He made you feel good just by his presence. He was generous & always made sure we had his latest CD. We loved listening to him sing, and marveled at such a gifted family. At his niece Julie's wedding, we laughed with him as his grandson Vinnie led him around by the hand, going somewhere, and Larry smiling and laughing as they went. Larry went after things with great intensity, like when he decided to go into real estate, he didn't dawdle, he chewed it up and was number one in no time at all. He lived passionately - for God, for family, for music for work. Nothing got by Larry, he lived; actively engaged every moment, he didn't waste time, talent or life. People like Larry are rare gifts to the rest of us mortals; they bless us at every turn, then happily go on their way. Larry cannot be replaced, and we will sorely miss him!

The first time I heard Larry sing was at a talent show at St. Joe's around 1970. He was belting out a Tom Jones number and when he twirled the mic, it accidentally flew off stage. Larry kept on singing and the audience roared their approval. Although he was too young and it's too soon, what a wonderful voice Larry brings to the heavenly choir. May your memories wrap you in love.
