Edward G. Schoor, 75, passed the morning of Saturday, June 22, 2013, at his home in Kenosha, WI. He was born on February 22, 1938, in Twin Lakes, WI, the son of the late Catherine and Max Schoor. He learned strength and compassion after his mother passed at his early age of 19. He became a pillar of strength for all of the family and friends in his life. Ed was always full of energy, loved working, and playing, outside until the sun went down. He had a knack for conversation and a wonderful sense of humor. He will be missed dearly. Surviving are his wife, Justine Schoor; his three daughters, Katherine (Jesse) Frias of Milwaukee, WI, Annie Schoor-Stanczak of Kenosha, and Claire (Gregg) Slattery of Lake Zurich, IL; grandchildren, Nathan, Camille, Jasmine and Logan; and nephew, Jeff Schoor. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Judith Schoor; and his siblings, Virginia, William and Robert. A memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at Proko Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Flowers or monetary donations in honor of Edward G. Schoor to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital would be appreciated by the family.Proko Funeral Home & Crematory5111-60th StreetKenosha, WI 53144Phone: (262) 654-3533Visit Edward's Online Memorial Book at:www.prokofuneralhome.com

My fondest memory of Mr.Schoor is seeing him cruise past the house on his Vespa, oxygen tank in tow. He never failed to wave, either. He fought a good fight and brought a smile to my face every time I saw him at Walgreens. Much love, neighbor.

Anne & Claire: Jeff and I (along with our families) want you to know we are thinking of all of our Kenosha relatives during this time and wish we could be there with all of you. Your dad was a great man and a great father... Jeff has many memories of Ed and Judy in their early days as a couple and loved to hang with them during his many road trips back east - he loved your basement! I wasn't a frequent visitor as he was, but I do remember both your dad and mom, and what a great couple they were... funny as all get out! Rest assured that they are together once again and will be watching you and guiding you through your lives. God bless Edward G. Schoor.

Ed was my mother's youngest brother and my godfather. I am so saddened by his passing, but he is at peace now.
