Dolores I Faber
Dolores I. Faber, 88, of Kenosha, passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2013, at Brookside Care Center with her family at her side. Born in Chicago, IL, on May 27, 1925, she was the daughter of the late William and Lillian (Koch) Dombrow. She attended the schools of Chicago and graduated from Carl Schurz High School. She came to Kenosha in 1948 to make her home. On May 4, 1946, she married Walter J. Faber in Chicago. He preceded her in death on October 13, 1999. She had been a bookkeeper for Bell Clothing Store and later Village Clerk in Paddock Lake, WI. She also was a part-time Clerk for Sentry Foods in Twin Lakes, WI, and Bear Realty in Paddock Lake, WI. She attended Messiah Lutheran Church in Twin Lakes, WI, was a golfer for Bristol Oaks Birdies, and a volunteer at Lakewood School and the Kenosha Visiting Nurses Association, Inc. Surviving are her son, Dale Carl (Gerrie) Faber of Racine; daughter, Shawn Lynn (Jim) Zwirgzdas of Salem; a brother, Lawrence Dombrow of Vancouver, WA; and her grand-dogs, Elliot, Faith and Cooper. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Dawn Marie in infancy; and a brother, Wallace Dombrow. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the entire staff of Brookside Care Center for all of the kind and compassionate care they gave to Dolores, especially the Bristol Wing. As per Dolores’ wishes, services were private. Dale and Shawn. So sorry for the loss of your mother. She was a wonderful lady, who liked to have fun and was a friend to everyone. She will be missed by everyone that she touched and she touched many.
