Donna Mae Mlodzik

Donna Mae Mlodzik, 74, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 26, 2013, at United Hospital System-Kenosha Campus, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Perham, MN, on February 1, 1939; she was the daughter of Arnold and Edna (Boedeghimer) Hieserich. Donna was educated in the grade and high schools of Melrose, MN. Later she attended the University of Minnesota. On June 25, 1960, she married Ronald G. Mlodzik at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Melrose, MN. Prior to moving to Kenosha in 1970, she lived with her husband, a secondary teacher, and their four children in Maple Lake and Prior Lake, MN. Donna was formerly employed in the payroll department with the Snap-On Credit Union and retired as a payroll technician for Gateway Technical College after 27 years. She was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church and loved singing with the St. Peter’s choir. She also was an accomplished trumpet player and enjoyed reading, going to casinos, and traveling to her timeshare at Christmas Mountain Village in the Wisconsin Dells, as well as Branson, MO, and Florida. Most recently she found great enjoyment being a part of Soap & Sensibility with her daughter Maria. Survivors include her husband, Ronald of Kenosha; a son, Thomas (Hilary) Mlodzik of Rockford, IL; three daughters, Lisa Mlodzik of Kenosha, Maria (Paul) Jeanmaire of Kenosha and Angela (David) Marshalek of De Pere, WI; two brothers, Arnold (Maureen) Hieserich of St. Cloud, MN, and Donald Hieserich of St. Joseph, MN; two sisters, Carol (Andy) Hilger of St. Cloud, MN, and Arlene (Mel) Walz of Zimmerman, MN; and six grandchildren, Ryan, Brittany, Nate, Jonah, Hannah and Sam. She was preceded in death by her father and a sister, Mara Hieserich. Donna’s family would like to extend their most sincere thanks to Dr. Mullane and his staff at the Aurora Cancer Center in Racine and the staff at United Hospital System. Family and friends are asked to meet for a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, May 2nd, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. Ireneusz Chodakowski officiating. Entombment will follow at All Saints Mausoleum. Ron & family, I was so saddened to hear of Donna's passing. She was the first genuine person I met when I started at Gateway and she was always ready with her wonderful, kind smile. Her smile and sweet spirit is what I remember most about her - she reminded me alot of my own Mom. In fact, I think she kinda took me under her wing as a second Mom when we worked together. A special lady for sure and I will miss her.
