Robert Paul Macpherson

1963 ∼ 2013

Robert Allen Macpherson, 49, of Kenosha, WI, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, April 18, 2013. Born in Los Angeles, CA, on July 2, 1963, son of missionaries William A. and Darlene J. Macpherson, Rob moved to the Democratic Republic of Congo at age two. After completing high school, Rob returned to the U.S. to continue his studies, where he met his wife Patricia L. Zanotti. They were married in 1988 in Las Vegas, NV, and have been blessed with two beautiful children, Alex and Rebecca. The family settled in Kenosha in 1994. Rob was inspiration and a joy to all who knew him. A member of Kenosha First Assembly of God, Rob had a gift of encouragement he shared with young and old alike. On January 24, 2013, he formally accepted the call on his life and received his ministerial credential from Pray Tell ministries. Although Rob was born legally blind, he never let his eyesight stop his vision. He was a man of integrity, and a friend to all. Rob is survived by his wife, Patty; his children, Alexander and Rebecca Macpherson, both of Kenosha; his father, Dr. William A. Macpherson of Santa Barbara, CA.; his brother, William P. (Jeannette) Macpherson of Ventura, CA; three sisters, Cat Macpherson of Spokane, WA, Jeanne (John) Marshall of Valencia, CA, and Marci (Anthony) Zermeno of Santa Barbara, CA; his biological family: mother, Jean; brothers, Rick, Dennis, Delbert and John; and sister, Denise; and also many brother and sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews and many friends. Memorial services for the celebration of Rob’s life will be held at Kenosha First Assembly of God at 10700-75th Street, Kenosha, WI, on Sunday, April 21st, 2013, at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Roberts name for his family. My heart is hurting at the loss of this beautiful man , my friend and neighbor and for his family at this sad time. So many nights sitting on the porch just sharing time and laughs.. so much that one night we stayed out there so late they overslept and missed their flight for vacation. Teaching him to make brownies for church when he couldn't see what he was doing ... so many memories with his family .. God has a new angel who can see everything now .. rest in eternal peace my friend

Robbie, my brother, I love you and will miss you terribly. Patty, Alex and Becca, Rob was a wonderful person and an exceptional human being. Be proud always of him and his memory. To the Macphersons I say that because of your son and brother, I met some really wonderful people ...the 5 of you. I feel as though, through our beloved Robbie's passing, that we became family as well. Lucky for you to have his whole life and lucky for the Youngs that we were able to share his life as well. We were blessed for having known and loved him, but more so for having him love us.
