James D. Anderson

James D. Anderson, 87, of La Valle and Kenosha, WI, passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at his Kenosha residence. Born on June 13, 1925 in Zion, IL, he was the son of the late David Kirk and Alma (Lund) Anderson. He moved from Zion to California where he resided from the mid 1960’s until 1993. He then resided in both La Valle and Kenosha where he owned homes in both towns. He served in the United States Coast Guard during World War II as a Third Class Petty Officer until he was honorably discharged. For many years he worked as a Sales Representative for Sloan Valve, Co until his retirement. He was a member of Zion Community Church, Immanuel Presbyterian Church in California, the Mason’s, the Cattle Men, the Dairyland Organ Society and St. Andrews Society in California. James loved to read, listen to classical music, and attend organ concerts with his friends. He enjoyed talking about politics, current events and religion. James is survived by his nephews, Scott (Frieda) Anderson of Bristol, WI, their children, Mia (Matt) Anderson Kurudza and Elle Anderson; and David (Connie) Anderson of Bristol and their sons, Adam (Trisha) Anderson, David (Lisa) Anderson and Marcus Anderson; his nieces, Laurie (David) Krenzke of Racine, their children Michelle BeBow, Chad Krenzke and their children, Morgan, Alyssa, Carson and Emma; and Bette Kreul of Moose Lake, MN, her children, Emily Danelski, Theresa Lekander and their children, Christa, Jacob, Jonathan and Carl; one nephew in law, Jerome Rudd of Racine, his children, Sherri Ruud and Shelly Holowinski and her children: Dorothy Kenneth, Rebecca and grandchildren, Armani and Damian; his sister in law, Laurie Anderson; and his lifelong dearest friend, Barbara Cameron. James was a friend, a mentor and a father to; Jose (Nancy) Vigil and their son, Ethan of Kenosha; Wilfredo (Alejandra) Vigil and their sons, Wilfredo and Sebastian of Oak Creek, WI; Erick (Aida) Vigil and their children Erick, Anthony and Brianna of Richland Center, WI and Jaime Vigil of L.A., CA; He is further survived by other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Gene Anderson, his sister, Ruth Ustymowicz, his niece, Patricia Ruud and his great niece, Natalie. A graveside memorial service with full military honors will be held on James’ birthday, Thursday, June 13th, at Mt.
