My friend Jim & I used to work for Bob back in the 60's at the Organ Studio and he was a GREAT boss!! We were in High School and he kidded around with us a lot and tried to calm us down when things went awry in our personal lives. I took over for a guy that sunk one of Bob's delivery vans!! I have two other stories.....Once my friend Jim brought a girl to the Organ Studio on a Saturday night and Bob came in to do some business and caught him in the "delivery blankets" in the back room.....but Bob was cool about it. Another time my friend Jim had just got his driver's license and Bob asked us to pick up a new leased delivery van and deliver it to the Janesville store. Somehow Jim, the new inexperienced driver got the new van, zero miles on it, and while on the way to Janesville he decides to start racing with me. I tried to wave him off, but no, Jim had to pass me on a curve, caught a tire on the edge of the road, turned the wheel hard and flipped the NEW van over and over off the road into a pond full of cat tails. When I got there Jim had crawled out of the van and was sitting on top of the roof while the van was half submerged in water with about 35 miles on it. Jim hit the water so hard that a cat tail was jammed threw the windshield seal!!! Of course I had to drive to a pay phone in the other van and let Bob know about it.....some how he kept his cool and didn't fire us. I have nothing but great memories of our Boss Bob. he was a great guy. May he rest in peace and may God shine upon him in Heaven.Sincerely, Leo Gallo
