Even though I moved out of the Kenosha area approx 30 years ago and didn't get to spend much time with my Uncle Venry in his later years, I will miss him.Uncle Venry was always very kind to me and my family. I remember being probably 9 or 10 years old, and Uncle Venry would always give us little kids a dime or a quarter or sometimes (when we got older) a dollar. He always a big smile on his face – I don’t think I ever saw him frowning or angry.I loved his stories and didn't realize he was involved in so many civic activities throughout his life. If I knew his barber shop was West Side City Hall, I would have paid a LOT more attention! To the entire Aiello family – Lauren, David and Thom – my sincere condolences and sypmathies are with you. Your father always supported you in every way and was very proud of his kids. Love, Robert

What a unique individual. My father-in-law, Bob Preston was a lifetime customer of Venry' s. Both my sons, now 45 and 37' received their first haircuts from Venry. We have many photos of that very special occasion. My condolences to the family of a very special man.

Although not recent, I remember Venry (& his wife's) kindness to me "way back". I hope he is receiving the rewards he earned thruout his lengthy lifetime.

Venry. A fascinating name, but even a more fascinating person. As his nephew, he frightened me early in life with "haircuts in the basement." But I forgave him as I grew older and realized he was doing me a favor by keeping my curls from looking like Harpo Marx. When I think of Uncle Venry, the first thing that comes to mind is how he was forever in motion. Not only verbally, but he was always racing from one room to another to fetch something for his visitors. I felt like royalty whenever I visited him and his beloved Jay-Jay. That's why I spent so much time at their house as a kid. One time, my parents came to pick me up after a long Saturday of playing with Tom, and I pretended to be asleep on the living room floor. It worked! I was able to stay the night. Venry was in on the secret, but played it cool. Perhaps he distracted my parents with WWII tales. Or barber shop banter. I'll always thank him for that. And everything else he did for me.
