Frances C. Rizzo, 87, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 31, 2013, at United Hospital System-Kenosha Campus. Born in Kenosha on June 12, 1925, she was the daughter of the late James and Frances (Schultz) Haber. She attended and graduated local schools. On April 23, 1949, she married John Rizzo. He preceded her in death on February 16, 2005. Frances was employed as a musical instrument tester and later as a supervisor for Leblanc for 24 years until she retired in 1987. She was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church since 1949, a member of their Rosary Society and the Catholic Women's Club. Frances enjoyed still having lunches with old high school friends, socializing at the beauty shop and helping make pasta for the church festival. Time with family and friends was special to Frances. She had a love of baking and cooking, traditional foods as well as family favorites. Sharing and passing on techniques and recipes was an important past time for her. Most recently as a resident of Brookside, she enjoyed bingo, Red Hats, Bunko and other social activities. She is survived by her three children, Deborah F. (Raymond) Larsen of Kenosha, David J. (Barbara) Rizzo of Madison and Doreen A. (Larry) Leiting of Kenosha; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one sister, Betty Hodal of Kenosha. Frances was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three brothers, James Haber, Paul Haber, Richard Haber, and three sisters, Esther Skurski, Margaret Nolan and Joan Chodoronek.
