Pearl A. Bauer, 94, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 31, 2013, at Meadowmere Assisted Living with her loving granddaughter at her side. Born in Oconto, WI, on April 7, 1918, she was the daughter of the late John and Josephine (Zoubek) Belongia. On May 17, 1939, she married Harold R. Bauer in Oconto, WI. He preceded her in death on July 17, 1977. Pearl was employed as an Inspector by American Motors from 1952 until her retirement in 1978. She was a member of Women’s Activity Committee, the Advisory Council and the Welfare Committee. She faithfully attended St. Therese Catholic Church since 1959. She enjoyed bowling, fishing, boating, snowmobiling and attending her great-grandchildren’s baseball games. Family was the most important part of her life. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon (Richard) Krencis of Kenosha; two granddaughters, Debra (Barry) Freitag and Michele Christensen; three grandsons, Jami (Paula) Benefiel, and Kevin and Brett Bauer; nine great-grandchildren, Tasha, Jessica, Candace, Stephanie, Jared, Cora, Olivia, Rebecca and Emily; five great-great grandchildren; and two sisters, Genevieve (Conrad) Sylvester and Faye Schultz. Pearl was preceded in death by her husband, Harold, her son, Charles, her parents, five brothers and three sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, April 5th, at St. Therese Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. James Cemetery. I remember sitting in front of the fake fireplace at Aunt Pearl andUncle Harolds home on holiday get togethers.
