Robert E. "Bob" Miles, 67, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 30, 2013, at United Hospital System-Kenosha Campus. Born in Paden, MS, on June 20, 1945, he was the son of the late John and Hazel (Allred) Miles. As a young child he and his family moved to Kenosha. He was a graduate of Mary D. Bradford High School. Twenty one years of Bob’s life was dedicated to serving his country first in the United States Air Force and then in the United States Army. He was a Vietnam Veteran, receiving the Bronze Star for Valor for his service in Vietnam. After retirement from the military in 1986, he became a truck driver until he retired from Light House Trucking in 2011. While working at Light House Trucking he taught his son to drive truck. They made many runs together. He enjoyed computer games, yard work and spending time with his loved ones. Bob is survived by his two children, Michael (Tina) Miles and Michelle Prescott, both of Kenosha; three grandchildren, Steven Raeburn, Tyler Allen and Tristan Skeans, and expecting one more wonderful grandchild; a sister, Geri West of Kenosha; and a brother, Charles Miles of Iuka, MS. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Billy Wayne Miles, and his two former wives, Sara Ann Miles and Shirley R. Miles. Bob blessed the lives of many friends and family, but most of all his children and grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 4th, at Proko Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. Entombment will follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park with full military honors.
