Matthew T. “Chewey” Holmes, 34, of Kenosha, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Thursday, January 17, 2013, from natural causes. Born in Kenosha on August 13, 1978, he was the son of Gordon and Judith (Konrad) Holmes. A lifelong resident of Kenosha, he was educated in local schools. On September 25, 2004, he married Faelyn M. Molette in Kenosha. Matt was employed as an installer with Hanson’s Pool and Spa in Kenosha. He enjoyed shooting darts, playing pool, fishing, camping, bowling, golfing, and most of all, spending time with his children, family and friends. Matt was known as a “Jack of all trades.” Survivors include his wife and soul mate, Faelyn Holmes of Kenosha; three children, Dylan Michael Holmes of Clovis, NM, and Alexzandria Gabrielle “Lexzie” Holmes and Xander Nathaniel “Xanny” Holmes, both of Kenosha; his father, Gordon Holmes of Kenosha; two brothers, Gregory (Heidi) Holmes and Jeffrey Holmes, both of Kenosha; and five nieces and nephews, Ariana, Cristian, Kyle, Christian and Brenden. He was preceded in death by his mother, Judy Holmes; his maternal grandparents, Leo and Evelyn Konrad; and his paternal grandparents, Clifford and Jennie Holmes. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 24th, at Proko Funeral Home at 7:00 p.m. Interment will be private.
