Alice Louise (Holsen) Raven of Kenosha, WI, died on January 2, 2013, at the age of 88. Alice was born in Manitowoc, WI, on August 4, 1924, the daughter of Clarence and Nora (Jacquette) Holsen. She attended schools in Manitowoc and Two Rivers, WI. On September 11, 1948, she married Thomas Walter Raven. She is survived by a son, Patrick T. (Mary) Raven of Milwaukee, WI, and a daughter, Marialice (Walter) Hammond of Kenosha, WI; grandchildren, Elizabeth Raven (Christopher) Juern of Colgate, WI; Thomas (Magdalene) Raven of Whitefish Bay, WI; Bryan (Kelly) Hammond of Paris, WI; and Michael Hammond of Kenosha, WI; great-grandchildren, Ellison, Mary Jane, and Lily Juern; Eloise and William Raven; and Haley and Andi Hammond. She is also survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, as well as by nieces and nephews. Alice was preceded in death by her husband after nearly 61 years of marriage; her parents; a sister, Mary Ellen Kasbaum; a brother, Paul F. Holsen; and brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and a nephew. She was employed by Nardi Electric and then by Local 127 I.B.E.W. as a secretary. She was a long time member of Beta Sigma Phi social sorority. Upon retirement Tom and Alice spent many years living in Cape Coral, FL. Alice enjoyed being with friends, the Green Bay Packers, Smirnoff’s, and watching television. A visitation for Alice will take place at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, 1408 Waldo Blvd. in Manitowoc, WI, at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 9th, followed immediately by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Internment will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Manitowoc, WI, following the service.
