Don Derocher, 76, of Kenosha, passed away on Thursday, December 13, 2012, at his residence. Born on March 15, 1936, in the U.P. of Michigan, he was the son of the late Emil and Edna Derocher. He attended the schools in West Allis, and later came to Kenosha in 1991 to make his home. On August 12, 1978, he married Karon Zuelke in Milwaukee. He had been employed by Chicago Northwestern for 42 years as an Engineer, retiring in 1998. For a number of years he had been a Medic in the Air National Guard. He attended Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Pleasant Prairie and was a member of The Brotherhood of Local Engineers. Donald enjoyed boating, spending time at the Cabin at Castle Rock Lake, cooking and being with his cat "Lexi". Surviving are his wife, Karon of Kenosha; two daughters, Shari and Gina; four step-children, Michelle, Scot, Meloney and Dean (Sherralyn); a sister, Patricia; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 16th, at Proko Funeral Home at 3:00 p.m. Interment at Pinelawn Cemetery in Brookfield, WI, will be private.
