Nancy C. Vertz, 86, of Kenosha, passed away on Monday, December 10, 2012, at St. Joseph Home and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Racine, WI, on April 16, 1926, the daughter of the late James and Marie (Paulson) Jensen. She was educated in the schools of Racine before moving to Kenosha in 1945. She married Orville Vertz in Indiana; he preceded her in death in 1988. She had been employed by American Motors-Chrysler Corp. for over 30 years until her retirement. A member of St. Therese Catholic Church and The Sweet Adelines, she enjoyed reading, bowling and watching the Green Bay Packer Games. Most of all she loved taking care of her family. Surviving are her five children, Judi Kruse of Kenosha, Doug Ponzio of Beloit, Rick Ponzio of Sheboygan, Kevin (Judi) Ponzio of Plymouth and Chris (Sheri) Vertz of Kenosha; four brothers and sisters, Walter (Mary) Jensen of Racine, Priscilla Knapp of Milwaukee, Jane (Don) Scheller of Racine and Lois (Dick) Fox of Racine; five grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Roger, Ralph and Wallace Jensen. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 15th, at St. Therese Catholic Church, 9005-22nd Avenue, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday at St. Therese Church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass.
