Neil T. Kelly, 79, of Pleasant Prairie, passed away on Saturday, October 27, 2012, at St. Catherine’s Medical Center. Born in Sanborn, WI, on February 25, 1933, he was the son of the late Lester and Carrie (Hoffman) Kelly. He was educated in the schools of Mason, WI, and moved to Kenosha in 1960. Neil served in the U.S. Army in Germany from 1953 until his honorable discharge in 1956. On December 31, 1955, he married Erika Deschermeyer in Nurnberg, Germany. He was formerly employed as a painter in Ashland, WI, and was a welder with American Motors in Kenosha until his retirement in 1985. Neil was a member of the Local 72 Retirees and enjoyed sports, hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, woodworking and simply being outdoors. Survivors include his wife, Erika of Pleasant Prairie; two children, Audrey (John) Moro of Pleasant Prairie and Armin (Mancha) Kelly of Mt. Pleasant, WI; a sister, Lucille (Julian) Johnson of Mason, WI; and five grandchildren, Aaron, Alan and Lisa Kelly and Nicholas and John Moro. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 30th, at Proko Funeral Home from 4:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Interment will be private.
