Sandra Louise Barry

Sandra L. Barry, 70, of Kenosha, passed away on Monday, October 1, 2012, at St. Catherine’s Medical Center in Pleasant Prairie. Born in Milwaukee, WI, on January 22, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Addison Norman and Charlotte Louise (Drowzeski) Barry. She came to Kenosha 30 years ago to make her home. On August 7, 1983, she married Jay Woodbury at St. John’s Parish, LA. For over 30 years Sandra had been a history teacher at Mary D. Bradford High School, retiring in 2007. She was a passionate, dedicated teacher. A member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church, she was active in various Committees at the Church, played piano and sang in the Church choir. She was an avid gardener. She also liked playing golf, traveling, and cooking. She enjoyed spending time with her family and especially her granddaughter. Surviving are her husband, Jay Woodbury; two children, Ann Louise (David Margosian) Laabs of South Milwaukee and Barry Edward (Theresa) Laabs of Kenosha; a granddaughter, Sydney Elizabeth Laabs; and many other family members and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 5th, at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, 9001 Prairie Ridge Blvd, Pleasant Prairie, WI, at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow at St. George Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday at St. Anne’s Catholic Church from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass.
