Carol Jean Mitchell, 74 of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 15, 2012, at her residence with her loving family at her side. Carol was born in Kenosha on April 10, 1938, the daughter of the late Bernard and Ruby (Gatrel) Robinson. A lifelong resident of Kenosha, she was educated in local schools and graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School in 1956. On June 9, 1962, she married Walter L. Mitchell in Kenosha and is very proud to have just celebrated their 50 wonderful years of marriage together. Prior to her marriage, she was employed in the office of Coopers and KAT. Carol enjoyed being with family, going out with friends, traveling and going to the Wisconsin State Fair. Survivors include her husband, Walter L. Mitchell; two daughters, Patricia L. Mitchell and Kelly M. Mitchell; and her “adopted family”, Danny and Connie Arroyo and their children, Tiffany and Brian. Carol will also be missed by many other friends and relatives She was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Dean Robinson. Carol’s family would like to extend a special thank you to all the nurses and staff at Hospice Alliance for all of the kind and compassionate care they gave her. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 19th, at Proko Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be private. I never had the opportunity to meet Carol but I'm sure she will be missed by her family and friends. May God hold her hand as she walks through the gates of Heaven. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
