Jeanne Marie Gallo, 64, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 5, 2012, at United Hospital System-Kenosha Campus, surrounded by her loving family. Born on December 17, 1947, in Kenosha, she was the daughter of the late Erich and Jennie (Stella) Tews. She was a lifelong resident and was educated in local schools. On August 5, 1967, she married Orlando Gallo at St. Mark’s Catholic Church. She was employed as a library aide for many years at Kenosha’s Southwest Library. Jeanne enjoyed crafts, knitting, crocheting, sewing and making ornaments. She also loved to read and work in her garden. She is survived by her husband, Orlando of Kenosha; two sons, Ralph (Teresa Bach) Gallo of Seattle, WA, and Eric Gallo of Vernon Hills, IL; three daughters, Rosemary (CJ Palmer) Gallo of Pleasant Prairie, Sandy (Anthony) Pontillo of Pleasant Prairie and Theresa (Roman) Kuryama of Chesapeake, VA; six grandchildren, Zachary, Angelina, Nicolle, Tyler, Isabella and Sophia; a sister, Patricia Tews of Kenosha; and two brothers, William (Jan) Tews of Pleasant Prairie and Thomas (Laura Hemming) Tews of Madison, WI. Jeanne was preceded in death by her grandson, Dan Kitt. Funeral services will be held from Proko Funeral Home on Thursday, September 13th, at 9:30 a.m. Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. George Cemetery. Aunt Jeanne, it has been so long, and there are so many times I wish I could back up time to when we were little again. I always enjoyed your home and the times we had as family. You are missed.
