Margaret Mary Gallo, 87 of Kenosha passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at Clarebridge Living Center with her loving family at her side.Born April 17, 1925 in Kenosha, the daughter of the late Rosco and Catherine (Larner) Goff. A lifelong resident of Kenosha , she attended St. Thomas Aquinas Grade School and was a graduate of Kenosha High School.On June 19,1948 she married Albert Gallo at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.She was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Margaret was very active at the former St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and had been a CCD Teacher for many years, she was very active in several community and civic organizations, former President of the Lioness Club of Kenosha and a volunteer at Kenosha Hospital. She greatly loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren, she enjoyed knitting, sewing, birdwatching and socializing with friends. Surviving are her husband Al of 64 years, six children; Stephen (May) Gallo of Fairfax Station, VA; Peter (Shirley) Gallo of Brighton, WI; Marie (Michael) Metzke of St. Paul, MN; Mary (Dennis) Serpe of Kenosha; Catherine (Timothy) Nelson of Kenosha and Joseph (Edward Moon) Gallo of Norristown, PA; a son-in-law, Gary Plath of Parkers Prairie, MN; one brother, Robert (Florence) Goff of Racine, WI; 8 grandchildren, Bethany Ahrens, Matthew Serpe, Sara Matteucci, Timothy C. Nelson, Kari Nelson, Christopher Nelson, Jonathan Gallo and Jennifer Taylor; 10 great grandchildren, also many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.She was preceded in death by a daughter; Barbara Gallo-Plath, a sister, Beaulah "Bee" Robertson and a brother Joseph Goff.Prayer services will be held on Monday, August 27th at 9:15 A.M. at Proko Funeral Home. Mass of Christian burial will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 2224-45th Street. Entombent to follow at All Saints Mausoleum. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. at Proko Funeral Home.
