Anthony M. Lovetro, 85, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 9, 2012, at Brookside Care Center after a very long and courageously fought illness. Born on June 15, 1927, in Johnstown, PA, he was the son of the late Michael and Elizabeth (Dicendo) Lovetro. Tony served in the United States Navy from March 16, 1948, until he was honorably discharged on April 28, 1949. On October 15, 1949, he married Helen A. Bruno at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She preceded him in death on May 14, 2002. Tony was employed by American Motors, until his retirement in 1989. He also painted both residentially and commercially. He was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church and the Italian American Society. He enjoyed playing cards, bocce ball, was an avid Packer fan and loved trips to Las Vegas with his son, Anthony. Tony was a dance instructor at Arthur Murray Dance Studio. He had a beautiful voice and loved singing, entertaining both family and friends, especially with his signature song, “I Left My Heart in San Francisco”. Tony is survived by his four children, his daughter, Mary, granddaughter, Jeana and great-grandson, Antony; his son, Michael; his son, Anthony Jr. (Kathleen), grandchildren, Matthew and Anthony III; and his daughter, Patti (Dennis) Feest, granddaughters, Lyndsey and Melissa, great-granddaughter’s Grace Helen and Audreyana; and his sister, Rose Caeti. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and his three brothers, Eddie, Sam and Nick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 13th, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at All Saints Mausoleum. Visitation will be held on Monday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. In lieu of flowers, Masses for Tony would be appreciated by the family.Heaven, clear the dance floor! Dear Dad, I'm going to miss you more than you could ever know.You were always my hero. Your will to live and endure these past 3 years were nothing short of a miricle and so inspiring to me. As I fought my own illness, You were the one I thought of to get me through days I never imagined could happen. You taught me values, love and the ability to always see good.
