Donald Francis Devlin, 90, of Pleasant Prairie, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 17, 2012, at St. Catherine’s Medical Center. Born in Ashland, IL, on September 13, 1921, he was the son of the late Harry and Frances (Sehy) Devlin. He spent most of his life in Morton Grove, IL. He moved to Racine in 1996, where he was a longtime resident of Atrium Assisted Living Center in Racine. In 2010 he moved to Pleasant Prairie to live with his son and family. Donald served in the United States Army as a Medical Technician from January 26, 1943 until he was honorably discharged on February 22, 1946. He received the Victory Medal, American Theater Ribbon, one Service Stripe, Good Conduct Medal and the Meritorious Unit Award. On October 20, 1962, he married Elizabeth Ramage in Chicago, IL. Donald was self-employed as a Repair Technician until he retired in 1990. He enjoyed reading, playing cards and was a huge Chicago Bears and Cubs fan. Donald is survived by his son, Tom (Mara) Devlin of Pleasant Prairie; two grandsons, Derek and Alec Devlin; a sister, Mary Bartuska of Rockledge, FL; and a brother, James (Marlene) Devlin of Chandler, AZ. He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; three brothers, Billy, Joe, and Vince; and a sister, Rita Devlin. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 21st, at Proko Funeral Home at 3:30 p.m. Interment will be private.
