Adriana Savaglio

Adriana Savaglio, 81, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 13, 2012, at Hospice House with her family at her side. Born in Kenosha on August 4, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Alessandro and Rae (Conforti) Savaglio Sr. She was a lifelong resident of Kenosha attending Bain Elementary School, Washington Jr. High School, Mary D. Bradford High School and was a graduate of Dominican College. Adriana was a kindergarten teacher for over 41 years at Sunnyside (Grevenow) Elementary School. Adriana was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Kenosha Humane Society, Dominican College in Racine and the Sunshine Club. She enjoyed knitting afghans for church festivals. Adriana was an excellent baker, specializing in Angel Food cakes. Surviving are her brother and sister-in-law, Dr. Alessandro and Marie Savaglio, Sr. of Kenosha; her sister, Yolanda Hennig of Bromfield, CO; eight nieces and three nephews, Cheryl (Tom) Beck, Arnella (Nap) Steele, Rita (Al) Hilty, Joan (Dave) Cates, Dr. Susan (Rob) Savaglio-Jarvis, Kathy (Greg) Fraid, Anne (Michael) Troka, Jennifer (Curt) Savaglio-Velvikis, Steven (Kim) Hennig, Dr. Alessandro (Nora) Savaglio, Jr., Michael (Cathy) Savaglio; and also 26 great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Rosalie P. Ruffolo; and a nephew, Joseph D. Ruffolo. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 18th, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, 1919-54th Street, at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at All Saints Mausoleum. Visitation will be held on Wednesday at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Our Lady of Mt.
