Gerald F. “Jerry” Jacoby, 83, of Somers, passed away on Friday, July 6, 2012, at St. Catherine’s Medical Center in Pleasant Prairie, WI. Born in Kenosha on January 28, 1929, he was the son of the late Theodore and Evelyn Jacoby. A lifelong resident of Kenosha, he was educated in local schools. Jerry proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. On June 23, 1972, he married Alice LeMay in Kenosha. Jerry was formerly employed with Moriaty Manufacturing and more recently retired from Snap On Tools as a machinist. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Survivors include his wife, Alice of Somers; four step children, Frank LeMay of Phoenix, AZ, Richard LeMay of Union Grove, WI, Eva (Floyd) Niesen of Bloomer, WI, and Barbara (Bob) Behringer of Athelstane, WI; a sister, Ellen Smith of Shell Lake, WI; a nephew, Mark Jacoby of Kenosha; 12 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ted Jacoby; a brother-in-law, Fritz Smith; and a grandson, Bill LeMay. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 11th, at Proko Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 12:00 noon.
