Very sorry to hear of the passing of Gerald. I just found out. I wish I could have attended his fureral to pay my respects. Gerald was a fine soldier and good friend in Recon Platoon at Fort Lewis and Vietnam. If I remember correctly, I visited him in Kenosha in 1969. That was on a road trip to visit Army buddies.

I am saddened to see you leave this earth. I know you are in Heaven now watching over Jenny and your grandchildren. You were always such a nice person , great neighbor and a wonderful man with a HUGE heart ! All of us kids in the neighborhood always thought so much of you and you will be missed ! I will never forget the way you always hugged , you really meant it and squeezed so tight we could hardly breathe , but it came from your heart ! I am thankful that I got to know you in this life and I will see you in the next one ! You were a wonderful person , and are going to be missed by many ! It will never be the same again going back home , driving passed the old neighborhood or even going to the grocery store knowing your smile will not be there anymore . You are missed by many and loved by all ! Peace be with you .

It's hard to express what I'm feeling right now into words. You always treated me with respect and made me feel like a member of your family. The first time Jennifer introduced me to you, you accepted me and even laughed when I called you "Dad". We would laugh and joke and sit at the table and shoot the breeze and it was always such a fun time. You will be missed and will always be loved and cherished by those who's lives you have touched. Miss you, "Dad".
