Selma "Sally" Olive Stern

Selma "Sally" Olive Stern, 91, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 25, 2012, at Brookside Care Center. Born in Kenosha on May 12, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Rose (Kral) Stinefast. On October 12, 1941, she married Paul Stern in West Bend, WI. He preceded her in death on September 13, 2004. Before her retirement she was employed by Werner’s Dry Cleaners for 25 years and Jockey International for 7 years. Sally was a member of the 1st Congregational Church of Kenosha and the Kenosha Senior Center. She is survived by her son, Dr. Jerry (Anne) Stern of Racine; three grandchildren, Janelle, Christopher, and Andrea; and several nieces and nephews. Sally was preceded in death by her sister, Viola Keach; and her brother, Raymond Stinefast. The family would like to thank Sally’s special care givers, Ann Bradshaw and Bonnie Hammerschlag and the staff at Brookside Care Center for all of their kind and compassionate care. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 29th, at Proko Funeral Home 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Greenridge Cemetery.
