Krsmanija Matic, 76, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 21, 2012, at United Hospital System-Kenosha Campus. Born on January 17, 1936, in Lokanj, Bosnia, she was the daughter of the late Zarija and Jela (Lakic) Popadic. On February 23, 1956, she married Pero Matic. He preceded her in death September 4, 2008. With her husband and children, she moved to Racine, WI, from Bosnia in January 1970. She came to Kenosha in 1972 to make her home. She was formerly employed by American Motors/Chrysler Corp. until her retirement in 1985. She was a member of St. George Serbian Orthodox Church in Racine, WI. She is survived by three sons, Dusan (Snezana) Matic of Kenosha, Stevo (Ljiljana) Matic of Kenosha, and Zarija (Cheryl) Matic of Franklin, WI; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Proko Funeral Home on Sunday, March 25th, at 3:30 p.m. Services will be held at 5:00 p.m. Family and friends are asked to meet on Monday at St. Sava Monastery Serbian Orthodox Cemetery, 32377 N.
