Billy Lee “The Lily Of The Valley” Taylor, Sr., 73, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully at his residence on Monday, March 19, 2012. Born in Tishomingo County, MS, on November 25, 1938, he was the son of the late Thomas Lee and Myrtle (Ezzell) Taylor. He was educated in the schools of Mississippi before coming to Kenosha in 1956 to make his home. He served in the National Guard from1956 until 1960. On January 28, 1967, he married Brenda Hastings in Waukegan, IL. For many years he worked as a Fork Lift Driver for American Motors/Chrysler Corp., retiring in 2001. Billy attended Spirit of Life Church in Zion, IL, was a member of UAW Retirees, he was dedicated to NASCAR and Bill Elliot, and was an avid follower of the L.A. Dodgers and the Dallas Cowboys. Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Brenda of Kenosha; three children, Lynette Jensen of Kenosha, Billy Taylor, Jr. of Kenosha, and Macklin (Silvia) Taylor of Boca Raton, FL; a brother, Jack (Sue) Taylor of Belmont, MS; and his two grandchildren, Tino and Toni Taylor. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Tulon, Roy, Bobby and Foy; and two sisters, Beatrice Sartain and Louise Waddle. Private services were held. Interment was at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
