Josephine Saliture, 93, formerly of Kenosha, late of Tucson, AZ, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 26, 2012, surrounded by her loving family. Born September 6, 1918, in Chicago, she was the daughter of Louie and Gaidonna (Restivo) Virciglio. Josephine lived in Kenosha from 1937 to 1993. She moved to Tucson, AZ, in 1993 to make her home. On September 9, 1939, she married John Saliture at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Kenosha. Josephine and John owned and operated the Public Fruit Market on 14th Avenue and 67th Street from 1947-1951. They owned and operated Johnny's Fruit Market on 60th Avenue and 75th Street from 1958-1960, and later the Country Inn bar from 1960-1962. Josephine also worked at Oaks Manufacturing and Kenosha Hospital. Josephine was a former member of the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and the Italian American Ladies Society. Josephine was also a member of Saint Francis De Sales Catholic Church in Tucson, AZ. Surviving are her daughters, Donna Perone of Tucson, AZ, and Angela (Tony) Russo of Tucson, AZ; her two sons, Frank Saliture of Kenosha and Rick J. (Jane) Saliture of Sun Prairie, WI; brother-in-law, Tony Salituro of Kenosha; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild. Josephine was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 9th, 2012, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with prayer services and mass immediately following. Entombment will follow at All Saints Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations to Carondelet Hospice and Palliative Care, 630 N.
