Mrs. Frank A. (Santina Gallo) Tenuta, 91, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 24, 2012, at Harmony House. The daughter of Leopoldo and Giovanna (Perri) Gallo was born July 31, 1920, in Platania, Catanzaro, Italy. She attended local schools and graduated from Kenosha College of Commerce in 1939. On October 4, 1952, at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, she married Frank A. Tenuta. Prior to her marriage she was employed as secretary at Jockey International (Cooper Inc). She was also employed in the Admissions Office at UW Parkside for several years. She was a member of Holy Rosary Church, the Italian American Auxiliary, Roma Lodge Senior Group, Senior Action Council and Charter members of St. Catherine’s Hospital Auxiliary. She is survived by her husband, Frank of Kenosha; her son, Richard of Fort Collins, CO; and his three children, Frank M., Gina R. and Joseph R. Tenuta of Fort Collins, CO. Also surviving is a sister, Frances (Mrs. Richard A.) Hansen of Kenosha; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Michele L. Gallo, Leo S. Gallo and Louis Gallo. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 27th, at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church at 2:00 p.m. Entombment at Green Ridge Cemetery Mausoleum will be private. Visitation will be held on Friday at the church from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the Mass.
